Orange Downed by Boston College

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The Syracuse women's tennis team was defeated on the road at Boston College on Sunday afternoon, 5-2.
Gabriela Knutson and Miranda Ramirez won at the No. 1 spot in doubles, 6-3, but the Orange dropped the other two doubles sets.
In singles, Ramirez continued her strong play with another win. She is now 6-1 in singles this season. Libi Mesh also won her singles match in three sets. It was Mesh's third singles win this year.
Knutson played a tough match that took three sets to determine and every set was close. Ultimately, her opponent came out on top, 5-7, 7-6, 6-4. Maria Tritou also had a close match that went to a third set.
Syracuse will be back in action next weekend with a home match against Pittsburgh on Friday, March 3 at 1 p.m. at Drumlins Country Club. They will then travel to Notre Dame on Sunday, March 5. That match is set for 10 a.m.
