Syracuse Hosts Pitt Friday; Travels to Notre Dame Sunday

SYRACUSE, N.Y.— The Syracuse women's tennis team will play Pitt at Drumlins Country Club in a 1 p.m. match on Friday, March 3. The team will then travel to South Bend, Indiana to play Notre Dame in a 10 a.m. match on Sunday, March 5.
The Orange (2-6, 0-2 ACC) are coming off a 2-5 loss at Boston College last Sunday. Against Boston College, Gabriela Knutson and Miranda Ramirez won at No. 1 doubles. Ramirez earned another win at the No. 3 singles spot, which brings her to a 6-1 singles record for the season. Libi Mesh secured Syracuse's other singles victory with a win at the No. 6 spot.
Scouting the Panthers
Pittsburgh comes into the match with a 2-3 overall record and 0-2 in the ACC. The team is coming off a 6-1 loss at Louisville on Saturday. Pitt's other conference loss came when they fell 6-1 to Notre Dame in late January. The Panthers' two wins have come against West Virginia and Duquesne.
Scouting the Fighting Irish
Notre Dame has earned a 9-1 record, 2-0 in the ACC. The two conference wins have come in a 6-1 victory over Pitt and 5-2 over Louisville. Last Saturday, the Fighting Irish earned 6-0 wins over both Bowling Green and Michigan State. The team currently has a six-match win streak, which is the longest for the team since 2014.
