Orange Drop ACC Opener

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Syracuse women's tennis dropped its first Atlantic Coast Conference match of the season at Virginia on Saturday afternoon. The Orange lost, 6-1, to the Cavaliers.

Anna Shkudun and Maria Tritou won, 6-3, at the No. 2 spot in doubles for the Orange, but 'Cuse failed to secure the doubles point with losses at No. 1 and 3.

In singles, Miranda Ramirez picked up her third win of the season with a victory at the No. 3 spot. Gabriela Knutson and Libi Mesh each battled in three set losses.

Syracuse will be back in action on Feb. 18 and 19 when they host Buffalo and Brown at Drumlins Country Club. Both matches will begin at 11 a.m.
