Taylor, Evans Named Scholar-Athletes of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Harriet Taylor of the women's rowing team and Jordan Evans of the men's lacrosse team are this week's Syracuse Scholar-Athletes of the Week.

Taylor is a political science major in the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs.

The Sunningdale, England native is a three-year varsity eight member and is a team captain. Taylor is a two-time Great Britain U23 World Championship squad member and was selected to train with the G.B. Senior National Team camp in January.

Taylor and the women's rowing team begin their season on Sunday, April 2 in the Doc Hosea Invite in Camden, N.J.

Evans is a supply chain management and finance dual major in the Whitman School of Management.

The Syracuse, N.Y. native has scored seven goals for the Orange this season and has 11 assists, the second most on the team. In the season opener, Evans had a three-goal, five-assist performance against Siena.

Evans and the men's lacrosse team will take on No. 1 Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind. on Saturday, April 1. That game will be on ESPNU and will begin at noon.
