Autry Story Part Of "Battle In Brooklyn" On ESPNU

All-Access basketball special takes viewers behind the scenes at the 2017 New York Life ACC Tournament
GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – The Atlantic Coast Conference and Brooklyn's Barclays Center teamed up for a historic first earlier this month. Basketball fans now have a chance to re-live some of the most memorable moments and get a first-hand look at what went on behind the scenes.
The program includes a feature on Syracuse associate head coach Adrian Autry and his son, Adrian Autry Jr., who is a member of the Orange basketball team.
"Battle In Brooklyn: The 2017 New York Life ACC Tournament" documents this year's Big Apple experience. The hour-long special takes viewers behind the scenes of a tournament that featured six games decided by six points or less and set several venue attendance records for college basketball before Duke outlasted Notre Dame in the Saturday night championship game.
The program debuts on ESPNU, beginning Friday (March 31) at 4 p.m., with three additional airing scheduled throughout the following week.
TA Films, in collaboration with ACC Advanced Media, takes the viewer into the locker rooms, outside into the team hallways and into postgame press conferences. Viewers will feel the intensity of the head coaches (mic'd up for extended access) and journey inside the ESPN production truck to experience a live broadcast. The "ACC Confessional" provides immediate reaction from coaches and players at the games' conclusions.
With the help of narration by former Virginia standout and current television commentator Cory Alexander, "Battle In Brooklyn" goes beyond the on-court action for the human interest stories, such as Miami head coach Jim Larrañaga and Hurricane forward Kamari Murphy's New York City connections.
Family connections also abound. NC State's Torin Dorn takes the floor with the full support of his parents, who are alums of rival North Carolina, and his brother, who currently plays football for the Tar Heels.
Additional highlights include the story of Florida State's 7-foot-1 Michael Ojo, figuratively and literally a "big man on campus" who, according to head coach Leonard Hamilton, could be elected student-body president. Equally compelling is a retrospective look at the journey of Clemson's Jaron Blossomgame, who overcame injuries early in his career to become one of the nation's premier players.
It makes for another compelling chapter as the ACC continues to set the gold standard for college basketball tournaments after more than six decades.
