BROOKLYN, N.Y. -- After earning a first-round bye, eighth-seeded Syracuse heads to the Barclay's Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. to face No. 9 seed Miami in the second round of the 2017 New York Life ACC Tournament. The game is set for Wednesday, March 8 at 12 p.m.

The game will be televised on ESPN as well as the ACC Network. Fans can also listen to the broadcast on the Syracuse IMG Radio Network.

FOR STARTERS

Syracuse defeated Georgia Tech in the regular-season finale on Saturday, 90-61, in front of the largest on-campus crowd in college basketball this season, 30,448. With the win, the Orange landed the eighth seed in the ACC tournament.
Graduate student Andrew White III gave a tremendous offense effort against the Yellow Jackets, going 12-for-16, including 8-for-9 from behind the arc. White III scored a total of 40 points, tying the Syracuse scoring record in the Carrier Dome.
Syracuse is looking for its first win in ACC Tournament play.

HUNTING DOWN THE HURRICANES

Miami enters the ACC Tournament coming off a 66-57 loss to No.12 Florida State. The Hurricanes ended the regular season with a 10-8 record in conference play, and 20-10 overall mark.
Senior Davon Reed was named to the All-ACC Third Team as well as the league's Defensive Team. Reed leads Miami in scoring, averaging 15.3 points per game and ranked second in steals with 39.
Jim Larrañaga is in his sixth season at the helm the program. In his 33 years as a head coach, Larrañaga is 608-401. During his six seasons at Miami, he has guided the Hurricanes to a record of 138-67.

THE SERIES
Syracuse leads the all-time series with Miami, 17-7. Syracuse defeated the Hurricanes earlier this year, 70-55, in the Carrier Dome. White III led the Orange with 22 points and 10 rebounds.

The winner of the Syracuse-Miami game will take on No. 1 seed North Carolina on Thursday, March 9 at 12 p.m. in the ACC Tournament quarterfinals.
