Nanco Signs with Bethlehem Steele FC

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Former Syracuse men's soccer standout Chris Nanco (Brampton, Ontario) has signed with Bethlehem Steel FC of the United Soccer League (USL). The deal is pending league and federation approval.
Nanco was a third-round draft pick of the Philadelphia Union in the 2017 MLS SuperDraft. Bethlehem Steel FC is the official USL affiliate of the Union.
As a senior in 2016, Nanco led the Orange in scoring with a career-high 15 points. He tied for eighth in the ACC with a personal-best seven goals. Nanco was voted to the All-ACC First Team and the All-South Region Third Team. He scored two goals in a match twice this season, the second coming against Pittsburgh in the opening round of the ACC Tournament.
Nanco and Steele FC open the 2017 season on April 1.
