‘Cuse Begins Conference Campaign at NC State

Three-game series set with Wolfpack
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse softball team heads to Raleigh, North Carolina, to begin Atlantic Coast Conference play with a 10-day spring break road trip to the south. The Orange (12-6) will face the Wolfpack (6-15) for a weekend series at Dail Stadium before heading to Rock Hill, North Carolina to face Gardner-Webb (5-15) for a mid-week double header.
The ACC Network Extra will broadcast all three games spanning Friday and Saturday. Live stats for all three games will be available.
The Orange will close out the road trip with a conference series at Georgia Tech (6-13) next weekend, March 17-19.
The Orange and the Wolfpack will meet for a three-game series this weekend, marking the eighth, ninth and tenth meetings between the two squads. Syracuse trails NC State, 2-5-0, in the all-time series, but was the winner of the last meeting between the pair. Syracuse claimed a 2-1 series victory over the Wolfpack last season, defeating NCSU 5-4 and 13-0 in the final two games.
The Wolfpack is 6-15 on the season with wins over Bethune-Cookman, Boston University, New Mexico State, Rutgers, Lehigh and George Mason. NCSU finished last season 23-33 overall, while closing out ACC play with a 6-18 record. The Wolfpack did not participate in the ACC tournament, and ended the year with a 1-2 showing in a series at Notre Dame.
