Men's Rowing Remains #15 Nationally

Syracuse hosts Boston University and Columbia this weekend
PRINCETON, N.J. – For the second straight week, the Syracuse men's rowing first varsity eight crew is ranked No. 15 in the country in the most recent release of the USRowing Coaches Poll, as announced on Thursday afternoon.
Syracuse has appeared in the top 20 of the coaches' rankings in each of the past 92 poll releases.
The Orange are one of 15 Eastern Association of Rowing Colleges (EARC) programs currently ranked in the top 20 of the coaches' poll, joining No. 3 Harvard, No. 4 Yale, No. 5 Princeton, No. 6 Boston University, No. 7 Dartmouth, No. 8 Northeastern, No. 9 Brown, No. 10 Pennsylvania, No. 11 Wisconsin, No. 13 Navy, No. 14 George Washington, No. 16 Georgetown, No. 17 Cornell, and No. 18 Columbia.
In its first race of the 2017 campaign, the team defeated Cornell on its home course in the first and second varsity eight competitions, but fell short in its quest for the Goes Trophy.
Syracuse will take on No. 6 Boston University and No. 18 Columbia with the Conlan Cup and Doc Lusins Trophy on the line on Saturday morning at the James A. Ten Eyck Memorial Boathouse in Liverpool, N.Y. Racing is slated to begin at 8 a.m.
