Syracuse hosts Dartmouth on Saturday morning
PRINCETON, N.J. – The Syracuse men's rowing first varsity eight boat ranks No. 7 nationally in the latest release of the USRowing Coaches Poll, as announced on Thursday. It marks the crew's highest appearance in the coaches' rankings since May 11, 2011.
It marks the second straight season that the Orange have appeared in the top 10 of the coaches' poll. Last year, Syracuse broke into the USRowing Coaches Poll's top 10 for the first time since the 2012 campaign.
In its most recent outing, the boat knocked off No. 6 Boston University and No. 18 Columbia on the Onondaga Lake Outlet on April 22. It marked the second consecutive season that the crew had defeated a top-10 opponent and was the highest ranked foe that the Orange have defeated in the regular season under head coach Dave Reischman.
With its victory against the Terriers, Syracuse claimed the Conlan Cup for the first time since 2012.
