GAME INFO
- Syracuse looks to advance to its its third-straight NCAA Quarterfinal with a win over Yale.
- The game will be broadcast on ESPNU with Chris Cotter and Orange alums Paul Carcaterra and Ric Beardsley on the call. Brian Higgins and Kyle Fetterly will call the game on TK99/105 and Cuse.TV, with WAER also broadcasting the action.
TICKET INFO
- Tickets are available on game day or in advance at the Carrier Dome Box Office, at 1-888-DOMETIX or at Cuse.com/Tickets at a cost of $10 for adults or $5 for youth (12 and under) and $5 for students at Syracuse, ESF and Yale with a valid student ID.
- Season parking passes will be honored in the surface lots adjacent to the Carrier Dome, with single game passes available for $15.
THE YALE SERIES
- Syracuse and Yale square off for the 24th time on Saturday, in a series dating back to 1920.
- The Orange control the series 19-4, having won 10 straight against the Bulldogs.
- Syracuse has won both matchups with Yale in the NCAA Tournament, including a 17-8 victory in 1992 and a 7-6 victory in 2013.
LORDS OF THE RING
- Syracuse is on its quest for a 12th NCAA Championship (and 16th national title, including four USILA championships).
- The Orange owns the some of the best marks in NCAA Tournament play by a number of metrics, including most NCAA Championships (11), highest winning percentage (.728), second-most wins (68) and fourth most appearances (37).
DESKO IS THE MASTER OF MAY
- Head coach John Desko took over the program in 1999 and has guided the Orange to 18 NCAA Tournaments in his 19 seasons, including five NCAA Championships (2000, 2002, 2004, 2008, 2009).
- Desko's clubs combine for an overall record of 33-12 in NCAA Tournament play, good for a .733 winning percentage, which is the best all-time of any coach who has coached 10 or more games.
-Â Desko is third all-time with five NCAA Championships, one behind predecessor Roy Simmons Jr. and fourth all-time with 33 NCAA Tournament wins, one behind Simmons Jr.
NO. 2 SEED SUITS CUSE
- The Orange have been the No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament nine times, having won three of its 11 national championships when slotted in that position.
- Overall, the Orange are 16-6 as the No. 2 seed. The team has reached five national titles as the second seed, and has advanced past the first round in all but two of the nine appearances.
- The only seed that Syracuse has been placed more at No. 1 (21-5).
DESKO CLOSING IN ON 500 SU WINS
- A win on Saturday would be head coach John Desko's 500th win as a member of the Syracuse lacrosse program, including his time as a player and assistant coach.
- In four years as a player, Desko played in 35 wins. He won 229 games in 19 years as an assistant coach under Roy Simmons Jr. and currently has 235 wins in his 19th year as head coach.
- Desko has the third-most wins as an Orange head coach, behind Roy Simmons Jr. (290) and Roy Simmons Sr. (253).
NON-CONFERENCE SUCCESS
- Syracuse is 8-1 in the non-conference slate so far this season and finished 8-3 against out-of-conference foes in 2016.
- Since joining the ACC, the Orange is 33-6 versus non-conference opponents, including a 31-3 mark in regular-season, non-league contests.
A WIN AGAINST YALE WOULD...
- Be the program's 895th victory, second all-time behind Johns Hopkins.
- Improve SU's record to 49-15 since the start of the 2014 season
- Give John Desko his 236th career coaching win, sixth among active Division 1 coaches.

THE PHANTOM
- In all Syracuse's 14 games this season, defender Scott Firman has seen one of the opposing team's primary offensive weapons.
- Attackmen that Firman has face average 3.57 points per game this season.
- However, facing Firman, these attackmen average 2.71 points per game.
- They average 3.63 points per game in games in which they haven't seen Firman.
- The phantom's next opponent is Yale attackman Ben Reeves, who is a Tewaaraton Award finalist for the second-straight season and has scored 79 points on the season.
SALCIDO SEEKS PROGRAM RECORD
- Sergio Salcido's 32 assists this season rank third all-time in Syracuse program history for assists by a midfielder.
- Salcido has already eclipsed his 24 assists from last season, which were a career high.
- The ACC Offensive Player of the Year, Salcido trails just JoJo Marasco (42, 2013) and Paul Gait (34, 1990) for most assists in a single season by a Syracuse midfielder.

- Syracuse has won 48-straight games when holding opponents to under 10 goals in a game.
- In 2016, the Orange held 11 opponents under that mark.
- This season, Syracuse has held Siena (6), Albany (9), St. John's (9), Johns Hopkins (7), Cornell (8), Binghamton (8) and Colgate (9) under that mark.
