SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Former Syracuse defensive back Wayne Morgan has received an invitation to attend the Jacksonville Jaguars' rookie minicamp at EverBank Field next week.

Morgan played in 46 games for the Orange over five seasons from 2012-16. He tallied 56 career tackles and ran back five kickoffs for 70 yards (14.0 avg.). Morgan's best season was as a sophomore in 2013 when he totaled 21 tackles, including 16 solo stops.

A graduate of Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn, Morgan was recruited to Syracuse by current Jacksonville head coach and Brooklyn native Doug Marrone when Marrone was coach of the Orange.

Morgan joins Amba Etta-Tawo as former Syracuse standouts headed to Jacksonville's rookie camp. Etta-Tawo was one of 16 undrafted free agents signed by the organization over the weekend.
