2018 Non-Conference Schedule Complete

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse University football team will host FCS opponent Wagner College at the Carrier Dome on Saturday, Sept. 8, 2018. The two schools announced the game in a joint release on Monday, June 26.

The addition of Seahawks to next year's schedule completes the Orange's 2018 non-conference slate, which also features a home date with Connecticut (Sept. 29) and road games against Western Michigan (Sept. 1) and Notre Dame (Nov. 17).

The Orange are 1-0 all-time against Wagner. In 2013, the Orange shut out the Seahawks 54-0 at the Carrier Dome. SU quarterback Terrel Hunt threw for 265 yards and three touchdowns in the victory.

"We're happy to have Wagner on the schedule again, a team from our home state," Syracuse Director of Athletics John Wildhack said. "This game fits with our philosophy of putting together a schedule which collectively balances our non-conference opponents and ACC opponents."

Wagner, located in Staten Island, N.Y., was 6-5 last season in its second year under head coach Jason Houghtaling.

Game dates for the ACC portion of Syracuse's 2018 schedule are expected to be announced by the conference in January.
