BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Orange's Sept. 23 game against LSU in Death Valley will kick off at either 7 p.m. (ESPN2) or 7:30 p.m. (ESPNU or SEC Network), the Southeastern Conference announced on Monday, Sept. 11. The start time and television assignment will be determined after this Saturday's games.
Syracuse is 1-2 all-time against the LSU and is making its first trip to Tiger Stadium. The Orange's lone series victory came in the 1989 Hall of Fame Bowl when Robert Drummond rushed for 122 yards and two touchdowns to power Syracuse to a 23-10 triumph. In the only previous game played on either team's campus, LSU defeated Syracuse 34-24 in 2015 at the Carrier Dome.
The Orange are 1-1 and host Central Michigan this Saturday. LSU is 2-0 and ranked No. 11 in this week's Associated Press poll. The Tigers are 12th in the Amway Coaches rankings. They travel to Mississippi State this weekend for their SEC opener.
Tickets for Saturday's home game against Central Michigan start at $25. They are available now online (Cuse.com/tickets), by phone (888-DOME-TIX) and at the Carrier Dome Box Office (Gate B).
