"I'm excited to welcome this group to our program," said head coach John Desko. "As we start practices this week, I'm eager to get them in a Syracuse jersey for the first time and see their progress as we get ready for the season."
The class features six of the nation's top-31 incoming midfielders, according to Inside Lacrosse, a trio of players selected to the Under Armour All-America Game and numerous All-Americans.
This is also one of the most geographically expansive in Syracuse lacrosse history, with players hailing from 10 different states and Canadian provinces.
Fans will have a pair of opportunities to see the new Orange in the Carrier Dome this fall. Beginning with the team participating in the International Lacrosse Scrimmages with the Iroquois Nationals and Team Israel on Oct. 1, in the conclusion of the The Creator's Game, Lacrosse Weekend put on by Deyhontsigwa'ehs and the Haundenosaunee Wooden Stick Festival. The highlight of the fall will be the annual Syracuse Alumni Classic on Oct. 14, where the current varsity squad will play a team comprised of nationally recognized alumni.
