Orange in the NFL - Week 2 - Syracuse University Athletics

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Six former members of the Syracuse University football program, including Jacksonville head coach Doug Marrone, took the field during Week 2 of the 2017 NFL season. A seventh rejoined the pro ranks yesterday as Marrone signed his former college quarterback Ryan Nassib to Jacksonville's active roster.

Outside linebacker Chandler Jones turned in a dominant performance with seven tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble to highlight Week 2.

Below is a quick recap of how Syracuse football alums fared during the second week of the season:

Jay Bromley, DT, New York Giants
- Had one tackle against Detroit on Sept. 18.

Riley Dixon, P, Denver Broncos
- Punted three times for 129 yards (43.0 avg.), including landing a punt inside the 20-yard-line against Dallas on Sept. 17.

Chandler Jones, OLB, Arizona Cardinals
- Seven tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble against Indianapolis on Sept. 17.

Ryan Nassib, QB, Jacksonville Jaguars
- Signed to the Jaguars 53-man roster on Sept. 18.

Justin Pugh, OL, New York Giants
- Started at left guard in New York's loss to Detroit on Sept. 18.

Cameron Lynch, LB, Tampa Bay Bucaneers
- Credited with one tackle in Tampa Bay's win over Chicago on Sept. 17.

Doug Marrone, Head Coach, Jacksonville Jaguars
- Saw his record as Jacksonville coach fall to 1-1 after a loss to Tennessee on Sept. 17.
