Orange in the NFL - Week 3 - Syracuse University Athletics

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Seven former members of the Syracuse University football program, including Jacksonville head coach Doug Marrone, took the field during Week 3 of the 2017 NFL season.

Defensive tackle Jay Bromley recorded his second career sack in addition to a tackle at Philadelphia. Despite the efforts by Bromley and fellow Orange alum Justin Pugh, the Giants ultimately fell to the Eagles, 24-27.

Below is a quick recap of how Syracuse football alums fared during the third week of the season:

Jay Bromley, DT, New York Giants
- Totaled two tackles, including his first sack of the season, at Philadelphia on Sept. 24

Riley Dixon, P, Denver Broncos
- Averaged 41.7 yards per punt on three punts, all three of which landed inside the 20-yard-line, at Buffalo on Sept. 24.

Chandler Jones, OLB, Arizona Cardinals
- Carded three tackles, including a sack, against Dallas on Sept. 25.

Ryan Nassib, QB, Jacksonville Jaguars
- Signed to the Jaguars 53-man roster on Sept. 18. Jacksonville defeated Baltimore 44-7 on Sept. 24.

Justin Pugh, OL, New York Giants
- Made his third start of the year at left guard at Philadelphia on Sept. 24.

Cameron Lynch, LB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Played, but did not record an statistics in the Buccaneers' 34-17 loss to Minnesota on Sept. 24.

Doug Marrone, Head Coach, Jacksonville Jaguars
- Coached Jacksonville to a 44-7 win over Baltimore in London on Sept. 24.
