- Sophomore Tyus Battle and freshman Oshae Brissett have scored in double digits in 18-of-19 games for the Orange. Battle ranks first on the team and third in the ACC with 19.8 points per outing. Brissett sits at third on the team with 14.9 points per game.
Â
- Syracuse ranks sixth nationally with a .381 field goal percentage defense. The Orange lead the ACC with 8.4 steals per contest and junior Paschal Chukwu ranks seventh in the nation with 3.11 blocks per game.
- Wednesday night's matchup marks the 72nd meeting between the northeast rivals. The Orange hold a 46-25 all-time advantage over the Eagles and have won five of the last six games. The two schools split the season series last year, with each team winning at home.
Scouting the Eagles
- Boston College enters the matchup with a 13-7 overall record and a 3-4 mark in ACC play. The Eagles split their last two games, beating Florida State at home and falling at Louisville.Â
- Four Eagles are averaging double-figure scoring. Jerome Robinson leads the team with 18.2 points per game and is shooting 45.1 percent (46-of-102) from 3-point range. Ky Bowman (16.4 ppg.), Jordan Chatman (13.4 ppg.) and Deontae Hawkins (12.4 ppg.) round out the double-digit scorers. Bowman has a team-high 98 assists and Hawkins leads Boston College with 9.1 rebounds per game. Â
- Jim Christian is in his fourth season as head coach of the Eagles. He has developed one of the top scoring backcourts over the past two seasons with the help of Robinson and Bowman. Under Christian, Boston College has already surpassed its win totals from each of the last two seasons (seven in 2015-16, nine in 2016-17).
