'Cuse Meets Pitt for Second Time

PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Syracuse looks for its third consecutive win when it heads to Pittsburgh on Saturday, Jan. 27 for a 4 p.m. tip-off at the Petersen Events Center. The meeting between the two schools is the second in 11 days.
The game will be televised on ACC Network and on the Watch ESPN app. Fans can also listen to the live broadcast on the Syracuse IMG Radio Network.
For Starters
- Syracuse (14-6, 2-4 ACC) shot a season-high 60.4 percent (29-of-48) from the field in an 81-63 victory over Boston College on Wednesday night. Five different Orange players scored double-digits in the victory.
- Sophomore Tyus Battle led the way with 24 points and juniors Frank Howard and Paschal Chukwu chipped in 18 and 14 points, respectively. Freshman Oshae Brissett finished with 13 points and freshman Marek Dolezaj totaled a career-high 12 points.
- Syracuse won the previous meeting against Pittsburgh on Jan. 16, 59-45. Howard led the way with 18 points, seven rebounds and four assists and Battle produced 15 points.
- Saturday marks the 113th meeting between the two clubs. The Orange hold a 67-45 all-time advantage.
Scouting the Panthers
- Pittsburgh (8-13, 0-8 ACC) is in search of its first conference win. The Panthers are coming off of a 72-68 loss to NC State on Wednesday.
- Jared Wilson-Frame leads Pitt with 12.5 points per game. Marcus Carr averages 10.1 points per contest and has a team-high 79 assists and Shamiel Stevenson grabs 5.1 boards an outing. Parker Stewart scored a game-high 23 points for the Panthers in the previous matchup this year.
- Â Kevin Stallings is in his second season as head coach of the Panthers. Stallings led Pittsburgh to a 16-17 overall record with a 4-14 mark in conference play during his first season with the program.

- Syracuse travels to Georgia Tech on Wednesday, Jan. 31 at 8 p.m. in the McCamish Pavilion.
