ATLANTA, Ga. – Syracuse goes for its fourth straight win when it faces Georgia Tech in the second leg of back-to-back road games on Wednesday, Jan. 31. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. in McCamish Pavilion.
The game will be televised on ACC Network and on the Watch ESPN app. The game will be on WSTM-3Â in the Central New York area. Find your local affiliate on the ACC Network Affiliate Page. Fans can also listen to the live broadcast on the Syracuse IMG Radio Network.
For Starters
- Freshman Bourama Sidibe totaled career-highs of 18 points, 16 rebounds and three blocks to propel the Orange past Pittsburgh, 60-55, on Saturday. Syracuse improved to 15-6 overall and 4-4 in the ACC with the win.
- The Orange held the Panthers to 18-of-65 (27.7 percent) from the field in the victory, their best defensive showing since the opener with Cornell. Syracuse ranks fourth nationally in field goal percentage defense (37.9 percent).
- Sophomore Tyus Battle (38:20), freshman Oshae Brissett (38:02) and junior Frank Howard (37:28) rank second, fourth and eighth nationally, respectively, in minutes per game.
- Syracuse leads the all-time series with Georgia Tech, 5-4. The two clubs split the season series last year with each team winning on its home court.
Scouting the Yellow Jackets
- Georgia Tech enters the game with a 10-11 record and a 3-5 mark in league play. The Yellow Jackets have lost four straight games to ACC opponents.
- Josh Okogie leads Georgia Tech with 18.3 points per game and shoots a team-high 41.5 percent from 3-point range. Jose Alvarado (13.1 ppg.), Tadric Jackson (12.1 ppg.), and Ben Lammers (11.7 ppg.) round out the double-digit scorers. Lammers averages a team-high 8.5 boards and has a team-leading 58 blocks.
- Josh Pastner enters his second season as head coach of the Yellow Jackets. In his first season at the helm, his team won 21 games, including four in the National Invitation Tournament.
