
Delhommelle, Webb Named Syracuse Scholar-Athletes of the Week

Hugo Delhommelle of the men's soccer team and Claire Webb of the field hockey team are the Syracuse University Scholar-Athletes of the Week for the week of Oct. 1.Â

A senior from Rennes, France, Delhommelle is enrolled in the David B. Falk College of Sport and Human Dynamics majoring in Child and Family Studies with a minor in sport management. He was a member of the 2017 ACC Academic Honor Roll.

In his second season at Syracuse, Delhommelle has started every match in 2018 and ranks second on the team with four assists. In 2017, he led the team with six assists and tied for third in scoring with 10 points.

Webb is a junior from Exton, Pa. who is pursuing a degree in Biology. She is a two-time ACC Academic Honor Roll selection who has also seen playing time on the U.S. U-19 Women's National Indoor Team.

Webb has started every game of her career at Syracuse with the exception of the 2016 season opener, her collegiate debut, including all 10 games this season. She recorded her first assist of the season in the Orange's 3-0 win over Bucknell.

Delhommelle and the men's soccer team also return home Friday, Oct. 5 as they host No. 1 Wake Forest at 7 p.m. Admission is free and action can also be seen live on ACCN Extra.

Webb and the No. 11 field hockey team return home Friday, Oct. 5 to face-off against No. 9 Boston College. Action begins at 5 p.m. The Orange then host California Sunday, Oct. 7 at 2 p.m. Both games are free admission and will be broadcast live on ACCN Extra.
