SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Orange head football coach Dino Babers announced today that Kramer Cook has been promoted to director of recruiting operations. Cook joined the Syracuse staff in 2016 as a recruiting quality control assistant. He most recently served as the program's assistant director of recruiting.
Â
Together, Cook and Director of Player Personnel Landan Salem are in charge of Syracuse's efforts to identify and attract the nation's top football prospects.
Â
"Kramer has done a fantastic job since the moment he arrived here," Babers said. "He's worked his way up and has earned this opportunity. I'm excited about the direction of our recruiting department under Kramer and Landan's leadership."
Â
Prior to joining the Orange, Cook served as the football recruiting and technology analyst at Coastal Carolina. He was elevated to that position in July 2016 after working as the Chanticleers' senior recruiting and technology intern for a year.
Â
From 2013-14, Cook served as a graduate assistant at Robert Morris University in Chicago, working with the team's defensive line and kickers.Â
Â
Cook graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2012 with a bachelor's degree in psychology and a minor in coaching. In addition, he holds two graduate degrees from Robert Morris, one in sport administration and the other in business administration.
