SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Eight former members of the Syracuse football program, including Jacksonville head coach Doug Marrone, took the field during Week 8 of the 2018 NFL season.
Wideout Steve Ishmael became the latest Orange football standout to make an active roster, earning a promotion from the Indianapolis Colts practice squad to the active on Oct. 26. He joins former Syracuse teammate linebacker Zaire Franklin on the Colts 53-man roster.
Ishmael did not appear in the the team's 42-28 win over Oakland Sunday, but Franklin received snaps on both defense and special teams. He finished with two tackles and carded the first pass deflection of his career.
