SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse tries to extend its winning streak when its hosts Ohio State at the SU Soccer Stadium on Monday, Oct. 8 at 7 p.m. Admission and parking are free.

Monday is "Alex Bono Bobblehead Night" as well as Military Appreciation Day. The first 200 fans to enter the main gate at the Soccer Stadium will get a bobblehead. Bono will be on hand to sign autographs, beginning at 6:15 p.m. Gates open at 5:45 p.m. and a large crowd is expected so fans are encouraged to arrive early.

ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse (5-4-1, 1-3-0) is coming off a 2-0 victory against No. 1 Wake Forest on Friday. Freshman Hilli Goldhar and junior John-Austin Ricks scored for the Orange, and senior goalkeeper Hendrik Hilpert and the Syracuse defense shut out the highest-scoring offense in the nation. It marked the second time in program history that the Orange has defeated the No. 1 ranked team.

SCOUTING THE BUCKEYES
Ohio State is winless in its last nine games after its 2-0 loss to Cleveland State on Friday. The Buckeyes enter Monday's match with a 1-8-2 record.

Jake Scheper leads the Ohio State offense with five points on a goal and three assists. Devyn Etling has scored a team-high two goals for four points. Parker Siegfried has played every minute in goal for Ohio State. He has a 1.49 goals-against average and a .660 save percentage.

Former U.S. National Team member Brian Maisonneuve is in his first season at the helm of the Buckeyes' program. Prior to coming to Ohio State, he was a member of the coaching staff at his alma mater, Indiana, for nine seasons.

THE SERIES
Syracuse and Ohio State are tied 1-1-1 in the series between the two schools. The squads first met in 1997 when Ohio State picked up a 3-0 win over the Orange. In 2007, the teams faced off again and the game finished in a 0-0 tie.

Last season, Syracuse traveled to Columbus to face the Buckeyes. The Orange outshot Ohio State, 14-9, and in the end walked away with a 2-1 victory. Tajon Buchanan had three shots on goal and scored his third goal of the season, while Lukas Rubio scored the first goal of his Syracuse career for the game winner.
