NEW YORK -- Syracuse and Connecticut renew their rivalry in New York City at the 2K Empire Classic on Thursday, Nov. 15. Tipoff at Madison Square Garden is set for 7 p.m.

The game will be televised on ESPN2 and the Watch ESPN app. Fans can also listen to the broadcast on TK 99/105.

ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse improved its record to 2-0 with an 84-70 win against Morehead State on Saturday. Junior Tyus Battle scored 18 points in the second half to seal the victory for the Orange. Sophomores Oshae Brissett and Elijah Hughes also had big nights, scoring 17 and 21 points, respectively. Brissett also led the team in rebounds with 12.

'Cuse is ranked No. 16 in this week's Associated Press poll and No. 14 in the USA Today/Coaches poll.

ORANGE IN THE GARDEN
Thursday's game marks Syracuse's 173rd contest at Madison Square Garden, and the 126th time under head coach Jim Boeheim. The Orange are 95-77 in the Garden, including last season's 72-63 victory against Connecticut. Syracuse is scheduled to play two games at MSG for the 2K Empire Classic.

SCOUTING THE HUSKIES
Connecticut is 2-0 this season with wins against Morehead State, 80-70, and Missouri-Kansas City, 94-66. The Huskies are under the direction of first-year head coach Dan Hurley, who was previously at Rhode Island. UConn is led by senior Jalen Adams. Adams led the team in scoring (18.1), assists (4.7) and minutes (38.1) last season.

SERIES HISTORY
The Syracuse vs. Connecticut rivalry dates back to the 1955-56 season. This will be the 94th matchup between the two teams and Syracuse leads the all-time series, 56-38. The most famous game between these two teams took place in Madison Square Garden in 2009 when Syracuse beat Connecticut, 127-117 in 6 overtimes, in the quarterfinal game of the BIG EAST Tournament.

Syracuse won its last game against the Huskies, 72-63, also at Madison Square Garden last season. Battle led the way with 22 points, while Brissett had 16 points and 10 rebounds.

ON THE ORANGE HORIZON
Syracuse will finish the 2K Empire Classic on Friday, Nov. 16 at Madison Square Garden. The Orange will play either Iowa or Oregon at 4:30 or 6:30 p.m.
