
Orange Ranked in Latest Oracle/ITA Polls

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Three Syracuse tennis three student-athletes are ranked in the latest edition of the Oracle/ITA Collegiate Tennis Division I Women's National Poll, which was released Tuesday, Nov. 14.
In singles, senior Gabriela Knutson and sophomore Sofya Golubovskaya are ranked No. 43 and No. 92, respectively. The Orange duo of Golubovskaya and freshman Sofya Treshcheva, meanwhile, is ranked No. 24 in doubles.
Knutson was ranked fifth in the first Oracle/ITA singles poll of the year, which was released ahead of the 2018 fall season. She finished last season ranked eighth nationally, becoming the first Orange tennis student-athlete to earn All-American recognition since Erica O'Neill in 1995.
The Czech Republic native capped last year's spring campaign with a 21-5 singles record, going 12-2 in Atlantic Coast Conference play, and reached the Round of 16 in the 2018 NCAA Women's Tennis Singles Championship.
Golubovskaya appears in the singles poll for the first time in her collegiate career. She played the majority of last season alternating between second and third singles, and was one of three members on the team with double-digit singles wins (12).
She is ranked in doubles for the first time in her career, as well. Paired with the newcomer Treshcheva in the fall season, the Orange duo had great success, winning the doubles title at the ITA Regional Championships in October.
