SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse closes out 2018 with a match up against St. Bonaventure on Saturday, Dec. 29. Tipoff in the Carrier Dome is set for 2 p.m. The game is the final non-conference tilt for the Orange this season.

ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse snapped its two-game losing streak with an 82-52 victory against Arkansas State last Saturday. Tyus Battle and Elijah Hughes shared top-scoring honors with 17 points apiece. Paschal Chukwu led the Orange on the boards with a season-high 13 rebounds.

Battle and Hughes are Syracuse's leading scorers this season. Battle has led the Orange in scoring in seven games and is averaging 17.8 points per game. Hughes has reached double figures in scoring in 10 of 12 games this season, including five straight, and is contributing 14.7 points per game. Oshae Brissett is also averaging double figures in scoring (14.5 ppg.) and leads the team on the boards (8.5 rpg.).

SCOUTING THE BONNIES
St. Bonaventure (4-8) is coming off a 64-59 loss at Northeastern which extended its losing streak to three games. One of those losses was to No. 14/15 Buffalo.

Senior Courtney Stockard is averaging 19.0 points per game since making his season debut against Canisius on Nov. 28. Jalen Poyser and Kyle Lofton also average double figures in scoring, adding 14.4 and 13.9 points per contest, respectively. Lofton also leads the Bonnies in assists (48).

Mark Schmidt is in his 12th season at the helm of the St. Bonaventure program. Last season he guided the Bonnies to a school record 26 wins and a win in the First Four in the NCAA Tournament.

SERIES HISTORY
Saturday's game will be the 29th all-time meeting between the two teams. Syracuse owns a 24-4 advantage in the series. Last season, the Bonnies snapped a 14-game losing streak to the Orange that dated back to 1981 with a 60-57 overtime win in the Carrier Dome. St. Bonaventure's Jaylen Adams led all scorers with 23 points, while Frank Howard led a group of three Syracuse players who scored in double figures with 17 points.
