Feldman, Avery Named Syracuse Scholar-Athletes of the Week

Syracuse basketball's Ky Feldman and ice hockey's Brooke Avery are the Syracuse University Scholar-Athletes of the Week for the week of Dec. 3.

Feldman, a senior from Agoura Hills, Calif., is majoring in newspaper and online journalism in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. Feldman has received Athletic Director's Honor Roll recognition the last two semesters.
The guard has appeared in three games this season for the Orange, recording three points in its win against Le Moyne. Feldman also appeared in the season opener against Eastern Washington as well as the victory over Colgate.

Avery is a redshirt senior from Concord, N.H. who is majoring in public relations in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. Avery is a two-semester member of the Athletic Director's Honor Roll.

The forward has appeared in all 17 games for the orange this season, recording 26 shots on goal and four goals. Avery has also recorded six assists this season for 'Cuse.

Feldman and the men's basketball team play Northeastern in the Carrier Dome Tuesday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. Tickets are available online (Cuse.com/tickets), by phone (888-DOME-TIX) and at the Carrier Dome Box Office (Gate B).

Avery and the women's ice hockey team take on Nov. 10 Colgate Dec. 6 at 7 p.m. at Tennity before traveling to Colgate for a second matchup against the Raiders at 3 p.m.
