Madonna Named ACC Player of the Week

After making eight saves and assisting on the game-winning goal in triple overtime, Liverpool native Dom Madonna earned ACC Defensive Player of the Week honors.
Madonna, who came up with three crucial saves in the overtime period, including a pair of point-blank saves and a man-down save, also assisted on the game-winner, sending a full-field pass to Ryan Simmons for the win.
An engineering major, Madonna has 23 saves on the season.
'Cuse hits the road on Sunday to face Virginia in the ACC opener at 3 p.m. on ACC Network Extra.
