LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Syracuse looks to snap its two-game losing streak when it plays its second game in three days at Louisville on Monday, Feb. 5. Tip-off in the KFC Yum! Center is scheduled for 7 p.m.
The game will be televised on ESPN and on the Watch ESPN app. Fans can also listen to the live broadcast on the Syracuse IMG Radio Network.
For Starters
- Syracuse (15-8, 4-6 ACC) lost to No. 2 Virginia, 59-44, Saturday afternoon in the Carrier Dome. Sophomore Tyus Battle led the way with 15 points for the Orange.
- Syracuse ranks fourth nationally in field-goal percentage defense (.381) and seventh in scoring defense (62.7). The Orange also sit ninth in the country with 6.0 blocked shots per game.
- Junior Frank Howard leads the ACC with 1.91 steals per game. Howard has swiped the ball away 44 times this season.
- Louisville leads the all-time series over Syracuse 18-8. The Cardinals took both matchups in the 2016-17 campaign.
Scouting the Cardinals
- Louisville (16-7, 6-4 ACC) enters the contest on a two-game losing streak. The Cardinals lost at Virginia (74-64) and versus Florida State (80-76) in their previous two outings.
- Deng Adel leads the Cardinals with 15.7 points per game. Quentin Snider scores 12.9 points per outing and Ray Spalding averages 11.3 points and 9.2 rebounds per game. Anas Mahmoud, the conference leader in blocks, has 75 on the season.
- David Padgett is the acting head coach for Louisville. Padgett has been a member of the Cardinals' staff for the last three years and is also a former three-year starter at center for Louisville.
