DETROIT – A spot in the Sweet 16 is on the line when No. 11 seed Syracuse takes on No. 3 seed Michigan in the NCAA Tournament third round. The game is the second of the day at Little Caesars Arena and is scheduled to start at 2:40 p.m.

The game will be televised on CBS. Fans can also listen to the broadcast on the Syracuse IMG Radio Network.

FOR STARTERS
- Syracuse is making its 39th appearance in the NCAA Tournament. The Orange advanced to the second round with a 60-56 victory against Arizona State in the First Four and a 57-52 win against TCU in the first round on Friday.

- Syracuse's freshmen led the offense in its victory against the Horned Frogs. Marek Dolezaj was 8-for-13 from the field on his way to a team-best 17 points, while Oshae Brissett was right behind with 15 points. Brissett recorded a double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds in his NCAA Tournament debut against Arizona State.

- Sunday's game will be the second all-time meeting between Syracuse and Michigan State in the NCAA Tournament. The Spartans won that game, 75-58, in Auburn Hills in 2000. Overall, the Orange own a 17-10 advantage in the series.

SCOUTING THE SPARTANS
- Michigan State improved to 30-4 with its win over Bucknell in the NCAA Tournament First Round on Friday.

- All five of Michigan State's starters are averaging double figures in scoring. Miles Bridges leads the way, averaging 17.3 points per game to go along with 7.0 rebounds per contest. Jaren Jackson Jr. ranks fifth in the nation in blocked shots with 106.

- Â Tom Izzo is in his 23rd season at the helm of the Michigan State program. He was enshrined in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2016.
