Eaton Takes Bronze; Tooker finishes 11th at USATF Finals

Orange alum Jarret Eaton took bronze in the 110-meter hurdles, while Aidan Tooker concluded his sophomore year of racing with an 11th-place finish in the 3000-meter steeplechase at the USATF Outdoor Championships.
Tooker finished as the top collegian in the event, with a time of 8:37.17, which was good for 11th. His semifinal time of 8:30.10 was the best time by a collegian this season, giving the Orange the top-time nationally in a pair of events along with Justyn Knight's time in the 5k and a top-10 time in every distance event (1500-meters and longer).
Nike's Evan Jager won the steeplechase in 8:20.10.
In the hurdles, Eaton finished in 13.51 seconds, 0.05 seconds off Nike's Devon Allen who earned the win. Freddie Crittenden III finished 16th in the event for the Orange, while Angelo Goss had also qualified.
The event began with big days from 2018 alum Colin Bennie, who finished 11th in the 10k after earning USTFCCCA Second Team All-America honors in the 10k at the NCAA Championships. Sarah Pagano ('13) followed that up with a fifth-place finish in the women's event.
