Orange Announce Hoop Date With Northeastern

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Northeastern, the 2018 Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) co-champion, is scheduled to play Syracuse in the Dome on Tuesday, Dec. 4. It will be the Huskies seventh Dome visit and the program's first since the 2007-08 season.
Syracuse has a 6-0 advantage in the all-time series and won the most recent pairing, 95-74, during the 2007-08 campaign. The two teams first met in 1974-75.
Northeastern was 23-10 overall and 14-4 in the CAA last winter. The Huskies shared the conference regular-season crown with Charleston and lost in the league's tournament title game to the Golden Eagles, 83-76. Northeastern Coach Bill Coen heads into his 13th season at the helm.
Northeastern returns redshirt senior guard Vasa Pusica (17.9 ppg., 5.1 apg.) and junior guard Shawn Occeus (10.8 ppg.), the top two scorers on last year's squad.
Syracuse was 23-14 and advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 before a loss to Duke ended its 2017-18 campaign.Coach Jim Boeheim, who ranks second in career wins among Division I mentors, is preparing for his 43rd season as Syracuse head coach.
