U23 World Rowing Championships Come to a Close

Poznan, Poland – Nick Tavares and Canada finished less than half a second behind Great Britain in the A Final at the U23 World Rowing Championships on Sunday. Incoming freshman Jacopo Bertone and his Italian men's eight teammates won the B Final to earn a seventh-place finish overall. Syracuse finishes the U23 Championships with two of its three oarsmen racing on the final day.
Nicolay Yngsdal completed his U23 run on Saturday in the M4-. He and his Norway teammates placed third in the C Final, 15th overall.
Bertone and Yngsdal begin their Syracuse careers this fall while Tavares, who stroked the varsity eight in 2017, returns for his senior season in hopes of leading the Orange to a third-straight top-10 finish at the IRA Championships.
