
Hagman, Davison Named Syracuse University Scholar-Athletes of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Jonathan Hagman of the men's soccer team and Madeleine Davison of the women's cross country team are Syracuse University's Scholar-Athlete of the Week for the week of Aug. 27.
Hagman, a senior from Enebyberg, Sweden, is pursuing a degree in finance from the Martin J. Whitman School of Management. In 2016 he earned CoSIDA Academic All-District and ACC All-Academic Team honors and is also a six-time member of the Athletic Director's honor roll at Syracuse.
The midfielder has started in 52 of 63 career matches at Syracuse including all 18 his junior season. In both 2016 and 2017, Hagman ranked second on the team in points and goals and posting new career highs in every statistical category.
Davison is a junior who is dually enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences and S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications with majors in sociology and Newspaper & Online Journalism. Davison is a 2017 ACC All-Academic honoree as well as a USTFCCCA All-Northeast Region honoree.
She placed 18th at the 2017 NCAA Cross Country Regionals with a time of 22:22.4 following a 20th place finish at the ACC Championships.
Hagman and the men's soccer team are set for their 2018 home opener this Sunday, Sept. 2. Syracuse will face off against Hofstra at 6 p.m. at SU Soccer Stadium. Admission is free.
Davison and the men's and women's cross country teams are set to open their 2018 season at the Harry Lang Invitational in Hamilton, N.Y on Saturday, Sept. 1.
