SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Six former members of the Syracuse football program, including Jacksonville head coach Doug Marrone, took the field during Week 1 of the 2018 NFL season.
Arizona Cardinals defensive end Chandler Jones and New York Giants punter Riley Dixon highlighted this week's pro performances. Jones tallied three tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble against Washington. Dixon averaged 49.4 yards per punt against Jacksonville with a net of 43.4 yards. In addition, linebacker Zaire Franklin made his NFL debut for the Colts, logging one tackle on special teams.

Justin Pugh, OL, Arizona Cardinals
- Started at right guard in Arizona's season-opening loss to Washington.

- Started at defensive end and recorded three tackles, a sack, and a forced fumble against Washington.
Cameron Lynch, LB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Appeared on special teams in Tampa Bay's season-opening win at New Orleans.
Zaire Franklin, LB, Indianapolis ColtsÂ
- Recorded his first career tackle in his professional football debut in a loss against Cincinnati.Â

- Punted five times for 247 yards (49.4 avg.) with a long punt of 59 yards in New York's loss against Jacksonville and his former coach Doug Marrone.
