Fast Times Kickoff Busy Track Weekend

Day one in Boston at the John Thomas Terrier Invite saw some fast Orange times on the distance front, while the sprinters turned in solid performances at the Columbia Challenge in New York City.

Rachel Bonner (4:46.14) finished second in the mile at the John Thomas Terrier Invitational in a new personal-best time. She was edged by New Hampshire's Shannon Murdock by under two seconds. Melissa Lodge (4:54.96) and Abigail Spiers (4:55.52) finished 10th and 11th in the 105-competitor field. Kelsey Potts (5:07.12/37th) and Ryley Higgins (5:15.62/59th) also ran.
The 5k was full or Orange, led by Madeleine Davison's fourth-place finish. Davison (16:40.42) and Mary Malone (16:49.99) each turned in top-10 finishes, with Malone taking ninth. Ellie Lawler (17:25.52/18th), Emma Wilson (17:43.26/24th), Maggie Toczko (18:24.14/32nd) and Eva Scott (18:25.25/33rd) also competed.
In the 3000-meter run, Laura Dickinson turned in a top-10 performance, crossing the line in 9:29.09 for eighth place.
At the Columbia Challenge, Matt Moore (7.96) and Richard Floyd (7.96) took third and fourth, respectively, in the 60-meter hurdles. Florida State's Trey Cunningham (7.53) picked up the win in a meet record time. Chevis Armstead (8.25) and Andrew Aguilera (8.49) also raced for the Orange, picking up 12th and 18th
Dasia Pressley led the way in the 60-meter hurdles, taking seventh in a time of 7.52 seconds. Eunice Boateng (7.68) finished 19th. Chris Tucker represented the men, taking 14th in a time of 6.94 seconds. Pressley's time is a new personal best.

In the women's 60-meter hurdles, Aviana Goode crossed the line in 12th with a time of 8.60 seconds.
