CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. -- Syracuse looks to get back to its winning ways on Wednesday, Jan. 30, when it faces Boston College. The game is scheduled for an 8 p.m. tipoff in Chestnut Hill, Mass.

ORANGE UPDATE
Syracuse looks to rebound from its 78-56 setback at No. 12/11 Virginia Tech. The loss was the first true road loss that the Orange have had this season. Sophomore Oshae Brissett led the team with 16 points and seven rebounds against the Hokies.

Syracuse is now 14-6, including 5-2 in ACC play. The Orange are current tied for fifth in the league standings.

SCOUTING THE EAGLES
Boston College enters Wednesday's game on a two-game winning streak after defeating Wake Forest last Saturday. The victory against Florida State on Jan. 20 snapped a five-game losing streak. The Eagles are now 11-7 overall and 2-4 in conference action.

Ky Bowman leads the Boston College offense, averaging 20.5 points per game, which ranks third in the ACC. Bowman is one of four Eagles who average double figures in scoring. Wynston Tabbs (13.9), Nik Popovic (13.9) and Jordan Chatman (13.4) are also in that group. Bowman leads the team in rebounds grabbing, 8.1 per game, which is fifth in the ACC. In addition, Popovic is third in the ACC in field goal percentage (.551) and Tabbs leads the ACC in free-throw percentage (.825)

Jim Christian is in fifth year at the helm of the Boston College program. During that span, Boston College has a record of 59-90, including a 2-6 mark against Syracuse. Christian previously served as head coach at Ohio, TCU, and Kent State.

SERIES HISTORY
Syracuse leads the all-time series with Boston College, 47-26. The two teams met twice last season, splitting the series 1-1. Syracuse won in the Carrier Dome, 81-63, and then Boston College won in Chestnut Hill, 85-70. Last season Tyus Battle scored a combined 53 points on the Eagles. Frank Howard also had a combined for 35 points and 11 assists in the two games.
