SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Seniors Stephanie Harris, Sarah Luby and Claire Webb will play the final regular-season home game of their Syracuse field hockey careers on Sunday when the No. 15 Orange meet Cornell at 2 p.m. at J.S. Coyne Stadium. Syracuse seeks revenge on an early-season road loss to the Big Red.
'Cuse enters Sunday's game on a two-game win streak. The Orange are coming off a 4-2 Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) win over Wake Forest on Friday night where four different players scored for Syracuse, including Charlotte de Vries who tallied her team-leading 15th goal of the season.
Cornell has posted an 8-5 record since its season-opening win over the then-ranked No. 18 Orange on Sept. 7. The Big Red also rides a two-game road stretch into Sunday's non-conference matchup, winning both games 4-0. Claire Jones and Grace Royer lead Cornell with six goals and five assists each combining for 34 points.
Sunday marks the 34th time in program history between the two Central New York foes. Syracuse leads the all-time series 29-3-1. Prior to the start, the Orange will recognize their three seniors, Harris, Luby and Webb, who have combined for a 45-24 record during their time at Syracuse. The trio is 23-9 in games played at home in their careers.
Parking and admission to all regular-season home games at J.S. Coyne Stadium are free. Fans unable to attend can watch on ACCNX available online or via the WatchESPN App.
