
#14 Orange Head to #5 Louisville for Regular Season Finale

The 14th-ranked Syracuse field hockey team heads to Louisville to face the fifth-ranked Cardinals in the regular season finale on Saturday. Fans can watch live on ACCNX online or via the WatchESPN App.
Syracuse comes into Saturday's matchup with a three game win streak, including a pair of wins over ranked opponents. The Orange are 7-2 on the road and 2-0 on the road against top-5 opponents beating then-ranked No. 2 Duke and No. 3 UConn on the road. Charlotte de Vries leads the Orange in goals (15), points (31), and shots (76). Sophomore SJ Quigley leads Syracuse in assists with five and has three goals of her own this year. Six players on the Orange roster have tallied three or more goals this season. Sarah Luby is this week's ACC Offensive Player of the Week after scoring goals in back-to-back games last weekend for the Orange.
Louisville is coming off a 1-0 win over No. 4 Duke on the road last weekend. With a 3-2 conference record, the Cardinals enter Saturday's match sitting second in the ACC standings behind undefeated North Carolina. The Cardinals average 2.53 goals per game, 14.6 shots per game, and have posted a .173 shooting percentage. Senior forward Bethany Russ leads Louisville in every major offensive category including goals (9), points (23), assists (5), and shots (82). Meanwhile, Mercedes Pastor and Madison Walsh have each posted eight goals and three assists respectively. Defensively, goalkeeper Hollyn Barr has allowed 16 goals in her 17 starts.
