Jones Voted to Pro Bowl for Third Time

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Former Syracuse University standout Chandler Jones was named to the Pro Bowl for the second time in the last three seasons and the third time in his eight-year NFL career earlier this week.

Jones will start alongside Khalil Mack of the Chicago Bears at outside linebacker for the NFC. In 14 games for the Arizona Cardinals this season, Jones has 42 tackles and ranks second in the NFL in sacks (15). He's also tied for the league lead with six forced fumbles.

A native of Endicott, New York, Jones starred for the Orange from 2009-11. He totaled 147 tackles, including 27 for a loss, and was a two-time All-BIG EAST selection during his college career.

Jones was selected in the first round (21st overall) by the New England Patriots in the 2012 NFL Draft. After four seasons in New England, the Patriots traded him to Arizona. Since joining the Cardinals in 2016, Jones has 56 sacks – the most in the NFL during that span.  Â
The 88 Pro Bowl players announced on Tuesday were elected by the consensus votes of fans, players and coaches.

The 2020 Pro Bowl will be played at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida on Jan. 26. The annual all-star showcase kicks off at 3 p.m. on ESPN.
