CHARLOTTE – Syracuse and Duke get the chance to settle the season series when they meet in the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament in Charlotte on Thursday, March 14. The squads split the two regular-season meetings with each winning on the other's home court. The game is the finale at the Spectrum Center and is scheduled for a 9 p.m. tipoff.

ORANGE UPDATE
No. 6 seed Syracuse posted its 20th win of the season in its 75-59 win against Pittsburgh in the second round of the ACC Tournament on Wednesday night. Freshman Buddy Boeheim led the Orange with a career-high 20 points. He also posted a season-best six rebounds. Senior Frank Howard and redshirt junior Elijah Hughes added 18 points each.

The Orange trailed by six at halftime but outscored the Panthers, 43-23, in the second half.

SCOUTING THE BLUE DEVILS
No. 3 seed Duke will make its 2019 ACC Tournament debut on Thursday night as it earned a double-bye. The Blue Devils enter the game with a 26-5 overall record, which includes a 14-4 record in league play.

Duke is led by its freshman class of Zion Williamson, RJ Barrett, Cam Reddish and Tre Jones. Williamson, Barrett and Reddish average double figures in scoring, while Jones leads the team in assists and steals. All four earned All-ACC honors with Williamson claiming the Player and Rookie of the Year awards.

Head coach Mike Krzyzewski is in his 39th season at Duke. The Naismith Hall of Fame member has guided the Blue Devils to five national championships and 12 Final Four appearances.

THE SERIES
Duke leads the all-time series with Syracuse, 8-6. The teams split the two meetings played this season. Tyus Battle scored a season-high 32 points to lead the Orange to a 95-91 overtime win at Cameron Indoor Stadium on January 14. The teams battled in the Carrier Dome in front of a sold-out crowd on Feb. 23. Barrett posted 30 points, helping the Blue Devils to 75-65 victory.

The winner of Thursday's game advances to the ACC Tournament semifinals where it will take on the winner of the North Carolina-Louisville quarterfinal.
