SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Hall of Famers Floyd Little, Larry Csonka and two-time Super Bowl-winning coach Tom Coughlin will be together again on April 13 during "Spring Football Saturday" presented by AmeriCU.
The trio will reunite for the first time since their Syracuse playing days to sign autographs and pose for pictures before and after the Orange's annual spring scrimmage at the Carrier Dome. Other Syracuse greats expected to attend include Arthur Jones, Eric Dungey, James Mungro and Dan Conley.
Â
In 1966, Little (halfback), Csonka (fullback) and Coughlin (halfback) powered Syracuse to an 8-3 record and the Lambert Trophy as the top Division I team in the East. All three men went on to have distinguished NFL careers, with Csonka (1987) and Little (2010) earning induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Coughlin entered the coaching ranks, most notably leading the New York Giants to wins over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLII and Super Bowl XLVI.
Â
In addition to the reunion and scrimmage, "Spring Football Saturday" features a youth football clinic, cheerleading clinic and an autograph session with the current team.
Â
Admission and parking for the event are free. However, staff will be located at Carrier Dome entry gates and in the 'Cuse Fan Zone collecting donations for the United Way of Central New York. There is no requirement to give, but suggested donations of $1 to $5 are appreciated to support those in the Syracuse community. Fans who cannot attend may still donate at UnitedWay-CNY.org.
