A pair of Syracuse standouts earned ACC and national honors after 'Cuse stormed back to beat No. 2 Duke on Sunday.
Nate Solomon was tabbed as ACC Offensive Player of the Week, while Drake Porter collected ACC Defensive Player of the Week and USILA Team of the Week honors.
Porter, who posted his seventh-straight game with double-digit saves to start the year, made 12 stops while allowing just eight goals. The Aurora, Ontario native kept the Orange in the game long enough to mount their comeback, making a crucial save later in regulation and another in overtime.
Porter is the third member of the Orange to earn USILA Team of the Week honors after Brett Kennedy (2/26) and Griffin Cook (3/19). He's the first member of the Orange to win ACC Defensive Player of the Week this season. The junior has already posted 92 saves
Solomon posted four points, extending his point streak to 24-straight games. Three of his four points came after the 5:46 mark of the fourth quarter, scoring a goal and assisting on Stephen Rehfuss' game-tying goal to send the game to overtime. He also fed Brendan Curry on the doorstep to score the overtime winner. The two assists were the 100th and 101st points of Solomon's career.
Solomon joins Bradley Voigt (2/18) in earning ACC Offensive Player of the Week honors this season.
