The Syracuse lacrosse season came to an abrupt end on Saturday, as No. 8 seed Loyola erased a four-goal deficit in the second half and won 15-13.
A seven-goal run erased the Orange's four-goal deficit, while the Greyhounds' netminder Jacob Stover made 17 saves to keep 'Cuse off the board during the run, which lasted more than a quarter.
Tewaaraton Finalist Pat Spencer (3-6) posted a game-high nine points. Nate Solomon (2-2) led the way for the Orange. Jamie Trimboli (2-1), Brendan Curry (2-0), and Stephen Rehfuss (2-1) also posted multi-goal efforts. Drake Porter made 13 saves in the loss as well.
Bailey Savio gave the Hounds possessions, winning 18-of-31 faceoffs.
