The Syracuse-Cornell men's basketball rivalry, the second most frequent in Orange hoop history, is slated to return when the two Central New York foes meet on Wednesday, November 20, in the Carrier Dome.

Syracuse has a 93-31 advantage in the series with Cornell and the Orange have claimed the most recent 39 pairings. The Big Red pushed the Orange in last year's matchup before Syracuse emerged with a 63-55 triumph.

In the past two encounters, the series has added a member of Syracuse Coach Jim Boeheim's family. In 2017-18, Jimmy Boeheim suited up with Cornell for the first time. Last winter, Buddy Boeheim took the court as a freshman at Syracuse.

The Big Red were 15-16 overall and 7-7 in the Ivy League last season, Coach Brian Earl's third at the helm. Cornell just missed out on a spot in the Ivy League Tournament and earned a berth in the CollegeInsider.com Postseason Tournament. Jimmy Boeheim is the club's top returning scorer (11.8 ppg.).

Syracuse was 20-14 and claimed a spot in the NCAA Tournament for the second straight year. Jim Boeheim, who ranks second in career wins among Division I mentors, is now preparing for his 44th season as head coach at his alma mater.
