Men's Rowing Ready for Eastern Sprints

Worcester, Mass. - The ninth-ranked Syracuse Orange head to the Eastern Sprints Rowing Championships on Sunday morning at Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester. The morning heats begin at 8 a.m. and run until 11:50 a.m. There will be a brief intermission before Grand and Petite Finals which are slated to begin at 12:48 p.m. Fans can watch a free live stream by setting up a quick free account on locallive.tv and selecting the US Rowing channel.

The 4V8+ will be the first Orange crew to race, facing Princeton, Harvard, Navy, George Washington and Cornell in Heat 2 at 8:10 a.m. The 3V8+ lines up at 8:40 a.m. with Yale, Northeastern, GW and Columbia.

The varsity eight earned a spot in Heat 1 which features some of the top teams in the country including Yale, Boston University, Columbia and Wisconsin. Yale is the only crew in Heat 1 that the Orange have not faced yet this spring. Heat 1 is scheduled for 9:12 a.m.

Syracuse's 2V8+ finishes the morning racing for the Orange at 10:24 a.m. in Heat 2 and will race Brown, Northeastern, Columbia, UPenn and Rutgers.
