
Orange Oarsmen Advance to Finals at U23 World Championships

Both Syracuse Oarsmen have advanced to the finals and are top-10 contenders with their crews at the U23 World Championships this weekend.Â
Nick Tavares '19 and incoming transfer Nicholas Kohl have both advanced to the finals in their respective races Sunday. Kohl and his Italian teammates in the coxless four placed third in their heat and won the repechage to earn a spot in Sunday's A Final in Bradenton, Fla. Tavares, a recent graduate and member of the Canadian men's eight helped his team to a third place finish in its heat and repechage earning a spot in the B Final on Sunday.
Tavares and Canada will race at 9:00 a.m. while Kohl and Italy line up at 10:50 a.m.Â
