National Powers Set for Fall Scrimmage on Oct. 5

Two coaches who've combined for 657 wins, 12 NCAA titles and the two highest winning percentages of any active DI coaches will have their programs square off in a fall scrimmage hosted by SUNY Cortland on Saturday, Oct. 5.

Syracuse and Denver will face each other at Cortland at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday as the final event of the Red Dragons' Lacrosse Legends Weekend. Bill Tierney, Denver's head coach, is a Cortland alum and will be inducted into the Men's Lacrosse Legends Club that weekend, which brought the event together.

The game will take place at the SUNY Cortland Stadium Complex.

Syracuse returns a wealth of talent from last year's squad, including All-Americans Nick Mellen, Brendan Curry, Brett Kennedy, Jamie Trimboli and Peter Dearth and All-ACC goaltender Drake Porter. The squad is set to return six starters to the 2019 team and adds back 2018 starting midfielder Tucker Dordevic, who missed the entirety of last year due to injury.
