Former Orange star Justyn Knight will race for a world championship this afternoon.
The two-time national champion, who now runs for Reebok Track Club, will represent Canada in the 15-man final of the IAAF 5,000-meter final in Doha, Qatar.
Knight ran a time of 13:26 in his heat and earning a time qualification to the finals. It's the second world final for the '18 grad, after he finished ninth in the finals in London in 2017. He looks to improve on his personal best of 13:09.76, which he set in a Diamond League in Italy in June.
Knight, who won the 2017 NCAA Cross Country Championship and 2018 NCAA Indoor 5,000-meters championship, was the most decorated track athlete in the history of the ACC. Knight won 16 ACC Championships at 'Cuse (five team, 11 individual) between cross country and track. He was an 11-time USTFCCCA All-American between the sports as well, including 10 first team honors.
